Centre

The plan is to transform a cluster of buildings into a Centre within this Living Environment which will incorporate:

  • A Wellness Centre
  • An Arts Centre
  • A Bistro cum café
  • Outlet for organic produce produced by small scale farmers and other organic producers.

These four entities would be contained in separate buildings but linked thereby harmoniously feeding off one another.

Wellness Center

The Wellness Centre would consist of:

  • Reception
  • Large lounge / waiting area
  • Treatment rooms
  • Day rooms
  • Change rooms
  • Stone pool/bath – water healing therapy
  • Outdoor Yoga/Qigong glass enclosed area
Equipment

In order to offer holistic treatments for heart, mind, body and soul, the aim is to fit out the Wellness Centre to incorporate all forms of alternative well-being therapies, the core therapy at the Wellness Centre being Life Alignment, available at all times.

Suggested alternative therapies:

  • Aroma therapy
  • Dance therapy
  • Life alignment
  • Life coaching
  • Massage
  • Meditation
  • Music therapy
  • Natural body products
  • Nutrition
  • Qi Gong
  • Reflexology
  • Reiki
  • Supplements
  • Walking
  • Water therapies
  • Yoga

For logistical and financial reasons initially not all the alternative therapies (other than Life Alignment) will be available at all times, these will be available according to demand.

The idea within the Wellness Centre is to have rooms which therapists could rent* having the advantage of a “shared” receptionist. (In France generally therapists do not have a receptionist and as a result therapies are interrupted by incoming calls or clients coming in to make an appointment – which is totally detrimental for the person having a treatment).

In addition, the Wellness Centre will have the capacity to hold workshops on any of the above disciplines.

The Foundation would help fund bringing in specialists from all over the world for workshops/seminars/talks etc

All those using the Centre as their outlet, whether therapist, artist, regional supplier, organic farmer, market stall holder, would be obliged to have Active Membership.

*Again it is emphasized that the Foundation is a non-profitable organisation and therefore will not be making money on the rentals – only covering costs and having a small percentage of the fees given back to the Foundation to assist future therapists.

CRAFTS CENTRE

Ideally a barn or two separate buildings would be moulded into two beautiful, light studios which will be divided into small work stations.

One building for noisy and “dusty” artisans such as wood and metal workers.

The second building for those working with fabric, paint, paper etc.

Artisans, as per the therapists in the Wellness Centre, could rent* a workstation on a permanent basis, to utilise as a working studio. The Foundation, would consider helping Artisans to setup their work station.

The artisans could work on a roster system ensuring that at least one artisan is always present in the studio during open hours – thereby being available should a visitor wish to purchase a piece of art from any of the work stations.

The visitors would have the benefit of witnessing the artisans creating their crafts.

The artisans would benefit from the people visiting the Wellness Centre, Bistro / Café and Organic Produce outlet.

All those using the Centre as their outlet, whether therapist, artist, regional supplier, organic farmer, market stall holder, would be obliged to have Active Membership.

* Again it is emphasized that the Foundation is a non-profitable organisation and therefore will not be making money on the rentals – only covering costs and having a small percentage of the sales given back to the Foundation to assist future artisans setting up their work station.

BISTRO / CAFÉ & ORGANIC OUTLET

This could be three separate units within the Centre.

Places where people visiting the Wellness or Art Centre could have coffee or tea, organic light lunches (including vegetarian) and purchase organic produce supplied by the small scale farmers and other regional organic producers.

The idea is for everyone to make a good living while looking after and supporting one another.

WEEKLY ORGANIC MARKET

A Summer weekly organic market could also be considered, to attract locals as well as tourists to the Centre during the holiday months.

All those using the Centre as their outlet, whether therapist, artist, regional supplier, organic farmer, market stall holder, would be obliged to have Active Membership.
